Hi all,
Today I want to hear about your experience regarding super foods...
Now whether you are familiar or not with foods like CamuCamu, Spirulina, Purple Corn Flour Extract, Maca, Cacao, Reishi Mushroom, (and there are many more!) or whether this is all new to you? either way I think it is worth us having a discussion about, especially as they all come as a raw food! and very high in something the body needs...
You could look at these as an antidote to a poor diet, a bit like most people take vitamin tabs, only these are natural and minimally processed!
What I am wondering is do you know about them? Do you ever use them? Are there any particular super foods which you use regularly for any particular purpose?
For example each morning I have a green drink. Often this is a fresh juice, but if I am short for time, I will make a fast blend of coconut water, and a mix of super foods. Today I had Purple Corn Flour, Spirulina, CamuCamu and Marine Phytoplankton. I immediately felt uplifted, clear, energised and this feeling lasted me hours...
There is a wide range of superfood classifications from: fruit, grasses, seaweed, algae and fungi.
Some are claimed to have almost miraculous healing abilities (of course i’m not saying that is so or not), and some are meant to be just a nice pep for the day, whilst others may be used for colour, texture or taste. Personally I have found really positive results for my well being.
You could look at Superfoods as a cross over between a ‘food’ as we know it and ‘herbal medicines’ of the ancients, or maybe still used in other cultures such as chinese remedies.
I would like to hear from you about your uses of super foods, and what your experiences and opinions are?
Check out the discussion here. Have a quick look and tell us your view :)
Wishing you a Super day, James :)
