As I am healing from cancer on a raw living food diet, one forbidden thing is all types of sugar. Cancer cells use fructose to proliferate and so I do not eat any kinds of fruit. However, so many raw…Continue

I'm joining this in the hope it will make me 100% raw. I instinctively feel it's my goal. I intend for it to involve a lot of foraging. I try to look at it from the perspective of being in a plane crash and that's what I would eat anyway. I've decided to call my diet "Plane Crash Raw Vegan". I feel it has a ring to it...

Well done James for setting this up and fulfilling a need! I am leaving for Thailand next week where I will be staying for the next 6 months. I am healing from Prostate Cancer holistically which includes a diet or raw living foods. Part of my reason for going away is so that I can maintain the raw food diet in the warm sunshine as I find it impossible to keep it up 100% in the cold of England. I wonder how many others have that problem? I will be keeping a blog on my website, www.thegiftinme.com

Martin you sound like a very brave man, and I feel that in light of the positive way you are going about it you will enjoy a fast recovery!! Thank you for the link, it will be lovely to follow your story as you get on. I know what you mean about english winters, I am not looking forward to losing my garden to the frost :o(

Also Herbivore Lion, It does have a ring to it, very lost-esque with no confusing twists!! xxxx

Good for you Hard core raw. And yes, I believe that sugar does do that. But refined sugar* Im sure fruit is ok, no? I'm curious as well as to what you eat, because fruit will have alot of vitamins and nutrients which your recovering body will no doubt need?

Furthermore, I am a serious believer in only 100% natural food, in their pure state that is, being consumed. But I think meddling with food combining and inaccurate science can make things worse. My advice is listen to what your body needs and as long as its 100% raw and unprocessed, you literally can not go wrong.
