Paradoxically, for me, it’s not about the food. But I have found the idea  of a raw food life style alluring, compelling, seductive.I have found the practise frustrating, boring, messy, yet I return…Continue

Hi.

I'm joining this group because I know a lot about the theories of raw food diets/lifestyles but have difficulty with the practice. As a result, I couldn't decide whether to call myself 'old hand' or 'newbie' when I joined the network and flip-flopped a couple of times.

James, I would also be interested in having a look at your book, if that's OK?

I've been viewing raw food websites since 2008 and being amazed at the stories and visual transformations, etc.  A very busy and stressful period towards end of 2010 and the start of a very intensive trainng programme have been me a wake up call.  Stressful period left me with no energy, hair falling out, skin looking not what it usually does, which is very good.  studying highlighted brain fog, memory and concentration issues. I believe all this stems from me not taking better care of myself and most definitely in the food choices I made.  I hoping to reverse all these symptoms by transitioning to a wholly raw food diet, because I don't like the way I feel.  Ideas and information to kick-start would be warmly appreciated...

been looking at going raw for a few months now and am definatly not a 100% yet but am slowly getting there. i had a completely raw day yesterday and this morning i feel good that i did :-) im still getting my head around it and seem to be spending most of my life on the internet researching all about the raw lifestyle! what has interested me in going raw is the health benefits. x
