Hello, please allow me to introduce myself.

I am Susan Prior, born in the province where cattle roam and oil is considered liquid gold. Yes I am from Red Deer Alberta, Canada.
Growing up here was not my choice, so as soon as I could, I fled for the beauty that British Columbia had to offer. Ah the great outdoors! If you love nature be careful, you could find yourself working as a tree planter and before you know it 16 years has flew by and you have planted millions of trees.
The best part of my nomadic lifestyle is that I was able to travel, study and figure out where and what I wanted to do when I finally grew up.
Well I did. I graduated from a culinary institute in British Columbia Canada years ago, and began working as a professional chef in the hotel industry. I absolutely loved the kitchen, and all the amazing people I was surrounded with. I did have many difficult times being the vegan grill chef. Yes it was the on going joke in the kitchen for a while, but I didn't let that discourage me. In fact it opened my eyes to a whole new food adventure. I watched a film called "Go Further", and I saw avocados being turned into a chocolate dessert. I was sold.
Living Light Culinary Institute was in the horizon. California here I come.
The experience was life changing. Friends were made, the raw food was crazy good and after graduating as a Raw food Chef and Instructor I haven't stopped.
I am currently working as the Chef at the Hacienda del Sol in Costa Rica, and soon opening a restaurant in Playa Guiones, the best surf along the Pacific Coast.
For now I am a freelance Raw Food Chef, Instructor and Author.

Cheers

Cheers, and thanks for your lovely comments...
The mobile raw cafe is something that I too will do one of these days. Festivals, music and high energy need good fresh foods! Love it!
The dogs, well I am just Tia(or Auntie to them). Long walks to the beach and my dehydrated snacks are a hit with my friends pups.
